Features

Website and API monitoring features

Diff webpages, watch OpenAPI specs, filter noise with AI, and send alerts to the tools your team already uses.

Visual webpage diffs

Side-by-side and inline HTML diffs that show the copy, layout, prices, and images that changed on a page.

OpenAPI and Swagger monitoring

Snapshot OpenAPI and JSON Schema URLs. Get a structured diff when endpoints, fields, or auth requirements change.

AI change filters

Write what you care about in plain English. PingChange filters cookie banners, ads, and timestamps so alerts stay useful.

Multi-region page checks

Choose US, EU, Middle East, or Africa so you capture the page that region actually sees — localized prices, geo-locked copy, and CDN drift.

Slack, email, and webhook alerts

Send each monitor to Slack, email, Telegram, or a custom webhook. Route pricing pages differently from API specs.

Schedules from minutes to daily

Set check frequency per monitor, from frequent polling to a daily pass, without rebuilding the watch target.

Compare

PingChange vs Visualping, Distill, and changedetection.io

PingChange is built for HTML and OpenAPI diffs with readable alerts. Visualping is stronger for screenshot QA. Distill and changedetection.io remain solid watchers if you want element conditions or self-hosting.

How it works

Set up website change monitoring in minutes

1

Paste a URL or OpenAPI spec

Add a webpage, sitemap URL, or OpenAPI endpoint. PingChange fetches it and stores the first snapshot.

2

Say what should trigger an alert

Use a selector, a clip region, or a short prompt. Ignore banners. Watch prices, legal copy, or breaking API fields.

3

Checks run from the location you pick

Each monitor captures from US, EU, Middle East, or Africa on your schedule. Snapshots and diffs stay searchable.

4

Get a diff you can act on

Alerts include a summary, the structured diff, and a link to the full change view.

FAQ

Website change monitoring FAQ

What is website change monitoring?

Website change monitoring watches a public URL on a schedule, compares each snapshot to the last one, and alerts you when copy, layout, prices, or other content changes. PingChange adds scoped watch targets and AI filters so alerts cover the section you care about, not every ad or timestamp.

What is OpenAPI change detection?

OpenAPI change detection snapshots a Swagger or OpenAPI document and reports semantic diffs: new or removed endpoints, deprecated fields, type changes, and auth updates. PingChange turns those diffs into a readable alert instead of a raw JSON patch.

How much does PingChange cost?

PingChange has a free plan at $0 with 2 URL monitors and 100 checks per month. Starter is $4.99/month, Pro is $8.99/month, and Enterprise is $59/month. Current limits and billing options are listed on the pricing section and in /pricing.md.

How is PingChange different from Visualping or Distill?

PingChange diffs webpage content and OpenAPI specs, not just screenshots, and can check from US, EU, Middle East, or Africa. Email can be immediate or a daily/weekly digest that rolls every monitor’s changes into one message. Visualping and Distill are stronger as generic screenshot watchers.

Can I monitor websites that show a captcha or bot check?

Yes. Paid plans can use anti-bot browser sessions so checks still complete on pages that block simple HTTP fetches.

Can I monitor a page from a specific country?

Yes. Each monitor has a check location. Choose US, EU, Middle East, or Africa so you see localized pricing, geo-locked copy, and the CDN version that region receives.

How does PingChange reduce false-positive website change alerts?

You can scope a monitor to a CSS selector, a drawn region, or an AI instruction such as ignore rotating ads. That keeps alerts on the copy you care about instead of every timestamp or A/B variant.

What happens if my monitored URL goes down?

A failed capture is stored as an error on the monitor. You can route that as a separate downtime alert on the channels you already use.

Does PingChange have an API?

Yes. There is a REST API, webhooks, and MCP tools. Anything you can do in the dashboard (create monitors, list diffs, fire a check) is available to CI and internal bots.

Can I monitor localized or multi-language pages?

Yes. Pin the monitor to US, EU, Middle East, or Africa to capture that locale, or add each language URL as its own monitor.

Can I get one email instead of an alert for every change?

Yes. Set the email channel to daily or weekly. PingChange queues changes from all of your monitors and sends them in a single digest at the hour (and weekday) you choose, so you are not spammed by per-check mail.
